This summer Biden is heading out on a war crimes tour, cozying up to apartheid and making deals with dictators, placing the lives of Palestinians and Yemenis at risk.
By shaking hands with Israel’s leaders, Biden is greenlighting Israel’s mass destruction of 1,300 Palestinians’ homes. Right now in Masafer Yatta, Israel is carrying out the largest forced expulsion of Palestinians from their homes since 1967. Local Palestinian activists like Sami Huraini have been harassed by Israel with arbitrary arrest for protecting their homes and land.
This March also marked seven years of Saudi Arabia’s horrific war on Yemen which has killed nearly 400,000 Yemenis. The deadly Saudi/UAE blockade on Yemen has prevented food, medical resources, and sorely needed humanitarian aid from reaching the Yemeni people. Today, a fragile truce is holding, but that truce is dependent on pressuring the Saudi-led coalition, not friendly meetings with Biden.
