Most of slain were soldiers, officials say

ISIS has carried out another substantial attack in northern Syria on Monday, attacking a bus carrying pro-government fighters on the road between Homs and Raqqa. It was the deadliest attack since March, with at least 15 killed and a number of others badly wounded.
The bus was hit in an ambush, but the exact details are still emerging. Syrian state media are reporting that most of casualties are soldiers, along with some pro-government militia members.
ISIS has yet to issue a statement on the attack, which is unusual as they’re normally eager to take credit for apparent successful strikes.
ISIS has carried out several attacks in recent months with casualties of around 10-15 people, and seem to be launching where the opportunity presents itself. Though ISIS doesn’t control territory as they did in years past, they have shown they are able to carry out attacks.
